The U.S. Department of Commerce is launching a comprehensive program to promote the export of full-stack artificial intelligence (AI) packages to trusted foreign buyers of U.S. technology. From April 1, 2026, industry-led consortia will have a 90-day window to submit proposals for export packages which could include AI-optimized computing hardware, data center storage solutions, models, cybersecurity protocols, and applications.

The Secretary of Commerce with input from the Secretary of State, the Secretary of War, the Secretary of Energy, and the Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy will select proposals for inclusion in the Program. Approved consortia may be eligible to receive U.S. government support such as expedited export control reviews, prioritized access to federal credit programs, direct advocacy, and coordinated interagency assistance.

Neil Hill Global Strategies stands ready to assist exporters to prepare and submit proposals for the American AI Exports Program.
